Finding a Provider
Your mental health is important and deserves to be taken seriously. Seeing a mental health specialist is just like seeing a doctor for a physical injury or illness.

When looking for a mental health provider, here are a few questions you may want to ask:
-
Are you accepting new patients?
-
Do you accept my insurance?
-
What conditions do you treat?
-
How soon can I get an appointment?
-
Do you offer virtual appointments?
When meeting with a provider, you should feel respected and listened to. They should clearly explain your treatment options and next steps. If you do not feel comfortable with them, it's ok to look for another provider.
